Overview

The 96 photocopiable lessons in this book develop the skills of reading, critical thinking, and discussing – essential skills in academia and the workplace. The lessons also offer an opportunity to develop the learner's vocabulary and gain additional insights into contemporary American culture.

Each of the "lessons" starts with a 100-200 word scenario. Then, in the back of the book are lists of the lessons and conclusions that can be drawn from that scenario. Vocabulary lists and cultural notes are also included. This plug-and-play book provides an enjoyable, throught-provoking, and revealing activity for any classroom.

Author Biography

Brian Remer, author of Lessons on Life, Learning, and Leadership is a designer and facilitator of games and activities for learning and has consulted with non-profit organizations, businesses, and government agencies. With a master's degree in International Administration from the School for International Training, he has taught English as a Second Language in Egypt and Ecuador and written a Youth Leadership training manual for the Peace Corps.
