Author Biography

Julie Damron, Ph.D., author of Teaching in the United States, is an Associate Professor of linguistics and Section Head of Korean at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. Her current research interests include student binge studying, recall, and success in online, blended, and face-to-face university classes, and language learning factors of college students studying abroad. Her Korea Direct Enrollment Program recently won the prestigious ACTFL Global Engagement Initiative Award which recognizes outstanding community-engaged learning experiences within the world languages curriculum.
